ESU-Lock Haven Women's Soccer
Lock Haven 3, ESU 0
LOCK HAVEN - Midfielder Georgina Adams scored a pair of goals and goalie Jen Foster posted a shutout as Lock Haven topped East Stroudsburg University, 3-0, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference women's soccer game Wednesday.
The game was a rematch of last year's conference semi-finals in which ESU beat Lock Haven, 3-2, in double overtime. The Warriors finished second in the PSAC last year, but are in serious danger of not making the playoffs this season with a current 3-3 record. The Lady Eagles improved to 5-1 in the conference.
Adams opened the scoring in the 28th minute on a free kick from just outside the penalty box. She cushioned the lead in the 59th minute with a goal off a Carlene Kratz assist.
Forward Adria Vitale completed the scoring with an unassisted goal from ten feet out with a minute remaining.
Foster made four saves in posting her fifth shutout of the season. The Warriors have been held scoreless in three of their last four games.
Lock Haven is now 8-3 overall while ESU fell to 6-4-1.
