ESU-Philadelphia Women’s Soccer
EAST STROUDSBURG - Janet Tarpey scored an unassisted goal early in the second half to give Philadelphia University a 1-0 women’s soccer victory over East Stroudsburg University Tuesday.
The loss left the Warriors with an 8-9 final season record. Philadelphia is now 11-7.
With 8:58 gone in the second half, Tarpey took a shot which rebounded off goalie Lindsay Vandegrift back to her and she nailed the rebound into the nets.
Goalie Shannon Ahmad posted the shutout, making ten saves. Vandegrift had 14 saves.
It was the final game for ESU senior Justina Woolf, who finished her career with 59 goals, second highest mark in the school’s history, including 14 game-winning goals. She had 18 goals this season.
