Slippery Rock 2, ESU 0

EAST STROUDSBURG - Annete Berg had a goal and an assist as Slippery Rock defeated the East Stroudsburg women's soccer team, 2-0, in crucial Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference contest Saturday at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Berg scored the game-winner just 4:16 into the match, and Line Nermark added the insurance at 69:06 to lead the Rockets (8-2, 3-1 PSAC) to the narrow victory.

The loss dropped East Stroudsburg (6-3-1, 3-2 PSAC) a full game behind second place Slippery Rock. The Warriors were shut out for the second time this year. They could not score on any of their four shots, three of which came in the second half.

ESU is back in action Wednesday afternoon at Lock Haven.
