EAST STROUDSBURG - Millersville scored eight points on near falls and East Stroudsburg University scored four and that was the difference as the Marauders won a criteria wrestling decision Wednesday night after the two teams had tied, 19-19.

The result came down to the criteria G after the teams had the same amount of wins in every category. Millersville's got three-point near falls from Adam Bunting at 125 and Jason Gabrielson at 133 and a two-pointer from Adam Schaaf at 184. ESU's near falls were both two-pointers by Jon Clouser at 125 and Matt Dudeck at 157.

The Warriors won only one of the first five weight classes as Marc Bauknecht pinned Tyler Woolever in 1:47 of their 285-pound match. It was his sixth pin of the season.

Behind 15-6, ESU won four straight to go ahead, 19-15. Keith Kleckner started it off with a 14-7 win over Shawn Blanchard at 149 although Blanchard escaped with 15 seconds left to avoid losing a major.

Dudeck followed by winning a major over Joey Lovello, 10-1, with five points in the final period and 3:20 riding time. Brandon Mihalko raised his season record to 17-4 with a 9-4 win over Craig Pequignot at 165, scoring three takedowns in the third period.

Dan Roy then put ESU ahead by riding Chris Yeager the entire second period and then getting a reversal and a takedown in the third for a 5-1 decision.

The Marauders had their top wrestler, Adam Schaaf, in the final match at 184 pounds. Schaff, who placed third in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championships last weekend and has a 16-6 record, had takedowns in all three period and a two-point near fall in the second in beating Anthon Petrock, 11-1, to tie the match.

The loss dropped ESU's record to 5-7 while Millersville is now 3-3.
