ESU-Boston University Wrestling

BOSTON, Ma. – Boston University won the first six matches and went on to defeat East Stroudsburg University, 25-11, in wrestling Saturday.

The Warriors, now 8-3, were behind, 22-0, before heavyweight Rich Koehler won by technical fall over Nick Zeras, 22-7, for the team first win.

ESU 125-pounder Jeremy Sluyter suffered a 9-5 upset defeat to BU freshman Jose Leon, 9-5. Leon had a takedown a near fall in the first period to build a 5-2 lead.

The Warriors only other winners were Mark Siwek at 133 and Brad Kleckner at 141. It was the team's last match before the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Wrestling Championships Friday and Saturday at Lock Haven.
