ESU-Franklin and Marshall Wrestling

LANCASTER - East Stroudsburg University won the first five matches and went on to defeat Franklin and Marshall, 27-12, in an Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association match Wednesday night.

Keith Kleckner at 149 pounds got the Warriors started by rallying from a 7-4 deficit and pinning Brian Bricker in 5:35 of the opening match.

Matt Dudeck (157) and Brandon Mihalko (165) followed with decisions, Dan Roy (174) won by forfeit and Shawn Smith (184) also won a decision to put ESU ahead, 21-0.

Dudeck, now 8-4, had two takedowns in the first period in a 6-2 win over Nate Schy. Mihalko raised his record to 11-3 by beating Isaiah Hankel, 8-3 with takedowns in all three periods. Smith, now 11-8, broke a tie with a third-period takedown to beat RP Morley, 7-5.

Other ESU winners were Marc Bauknecht at 285 and Josh Thompson in the final match at 141.

The Warriors are now 4-5 and will play host to Drexel and Bucknell for a pair of dual matches Saturday starting at 1 p.m. The Diplomats fell to 4-4.
