ESU-Wesleyan Women's Lacrosse
PANAMA CITY, Fla. - Antonia Giannopoulos scored six goals, including five in the
first half, to carry East Stroudsburg University to a 14-9 women's lacrosse victory over
Wesleyan College in a game played in a steady rain Monday.
The Warriors trailed, 4-1, in early action, but rallied behind the play of Giannapoulos,
a sophomore transfer from the University of Maryland. They scored ten of the last 11 goals
in the first half to take a 10-5 halftime lead.
Kim Niles, Shelly Kuhlberg and Charlie Hicks-Little each added two goals for ESU
while Jenna Feinblum had a pair of assists. Laura Pfeiffenberger scored three times for
Wesleyan.
The Warriors, now 1-1, will play Bowdoin Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the team's
other game during their week-long Florida trip.
