ESU-Mansfield Women's Basketball
EAST STROUDSBURG - Center Maggie McLoughlin put in a rebound at the final buzzer to give East Stroudsburg University a 59-58 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference women's basketball victory over Mansfield Wednesday night.
Shannon Schwilk drove the left side, but missed a twisting layup, but the 6-3 McLoughlin reached high up in the air and put the ball back into the basket.
The Warriors had an seven-point lead, 51-44, with six minutes remaining, but missed their last seven foul shots to allow Mansfield to catch up. The Mounties went ahead on Alysson Buss' two free throws with 12 seconds left.
Schwilk and Kelly Hutchison led ESU (11-11, 3-5 PSAC) with 11 points apiece while McLoughlin scored ten, matching her season high. Schwilk pulled down 13 rebounds, her career best, while Tiffany Barnes came off the bench to grab nine rebounds. Marie Schlegel fed off six assists.
