ESU-Millersville Women's Basketball

MILLERSVILLE - Millersville stayed in first place in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division women's basketball race by beating East Stroudsburg, 78-48, Saturday night.

The Marauders are now 7-1 in the league and 15-7 overall and have a game lead over Bloomsburg, which is 6-2. ESU fell to 7-15 overall and 3-6 in PSAC play.

Millersville had 11 different players score points led by Jen Smith with 14 and Morgan Banks with 12. Gema Robles contributed six assists and four steals along with nine points.

ESU's Tiffany Barnes scored 12 points for the fourth consecutive game. Teammate Niki Cox also had 12 points, giving her 33 in the last two games.

The Warriors made only 26 percent of their shots, 14 for 53, while Millersville hit at a 48 percent pace, 29 for 60. The Marauders led at halftime, 38-19.
