ESU-Cheyney Women’s Basketball
CHEYNEY – Forward Shannon Schwilk made ten of 15 field goal attempts for the second straight game and her 20 points led East Stroudsburg University to a 55-28 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division women’s basketball victory over Cheyney Saturday night.
It was the third straight 20-point performance for Schwilk, who had 24 points against Columbia Union Sunday and 22 against West Chester Wednesday. She now has a season total of 338 points for a 16.1 per-game average and a career total of 973 points.
The 5-9 senior from Ephrata also grabbed eight rebounds, made a team-high five assists, had four steals and block.
Forward Kelly Hutchison added ten points and nine rebounds and guard Stephanie Kuhn had ten rebounds and four assists. The Warriors (10-11, 2-5 PSAC) led at halftime, 27-13.
Cheyney (2-16, 0-7 PSAC) shot only 19 percent from the floor, 12 for 65, which included one three-pointer in 13 attempts. Dereka Henry was the Wolves’ high scorer with nine points.
