ESU-West Chester Women's Basketball
WEST CHESTER - East Stroudsburg University's Heather Wolfe came close to a triple-double, but the Warriors dropped a 69-56 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division women's basketball game to West Chester Wednesday night.
It was the season finale for the Warriors, who finished 7-18 overall and 3-9 in the conference under first-year coach Juliene Simpson. West Chester is now 16-9 overall and 7-4 in PSAC play.
Wolfe scored 10 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and fed off seven assists. It was her fourth double-double of the season. Teammate Jess Wapinski also scored 10 points.
Ahead by only 15-12, the Lady Rams broke the game open with a 12-point run midway through the first half. Carolyn Muldoon was the leader with two baskets while Cassandra DeYoung hit a 3-pointer.
DeYoung finished with 15 points while Kiera Manlove had 14 and Kristin Voorhees and Muldoon 13 apiece. Voorhees also grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds.
