ESU-West Chester Women's Basketball
WEST CHESTER - West Chester remained undefeated in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division and won its 14th straight home game by thrashing East Stroudsburg University, 89-41, Tuesday night.
The Lady Rams are now 9-0 in the conference and 21-2 overall with ten straight victories. ESU dropped to 5-18 overall and 2-7 in the conference.
It was a rout from the start as West Chester scored the first ten points of the game with all five starters contributing. The Rams led, 28-5, after ten minutes and, 50-17, at halftime. ESU made only four of 21 shots in the first half and committed 18 of their game total of 28 turnovers.
A total of 13 West Chester players scored points led by Kiera Manlove with 16. Hallie Roulin added 12 points and Amy MacDonald, Carolyn Muldoon and Fallan Newcome ten apiece. Newsome came off the bench in the last five minutes in his first collegiate game.
Kelly Hutchison was the Warriors' lone double-figure scorer with ten points. The Warriors wound up shooting 26 percent (12 for 46) compared to the Rams' 54 percent shooting (38 for 71).
