ESU-Pace Women's Basketball

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - Center Wanda Maynard-Morris scored 28 points to lead powerful Pace University to a 67-52 women's basketball victory over East Stroudsburg University Sunday.

Morris, a 6-2 sophomore from Barbaros, was almost unstoppable from the floor, making 12 of 14 shots. She also hit on all four of her free throw attempts and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.

Sherri Holder added ten points and Kim Holder fed off six assists for the Pacesetters, who are now 7-1.

Center Amanda Buss was the Warriors' top scorer with 16 points which included six for eight shooting from the floor. Shannon Schwilk added 13 points and Marie Schlegel had ten points, five assists and four steals.

Pace led throughout the game and had a 35-26 halftime lead. The Warriors scored the first five points of the second half to close with four at 35-31, but they never came any closer.

ESU is now 3-6 and will have ten days off before playing at Georgian Court Dec. 22 at 3 p.m.
