EAST STROUDSBURG - Guard Danielle Warntz hit four 3-pointers and scored all 14 of her points in the first half as Kutztown defeated East Stroudsburg University, 68-46, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division women's basketball game Wednesday night.

With her team behind, 10-8, Warntz came off the bench to ignite the Golden Bears with two consecutive 3-pointers which put the team in front for good, 14-10. ESU stayed within striking range at 26-19 when the 5-6 freshman drained another pair of 'threes', sandwiched around Katie Madenford's inside basket, in a 13-point run which opened the margin to 20 points at 39-19.

ESU couldn't get any consistent scoring with only Pam Helt hitting double figures with 11 points along with a team-high nine rebounds. Michele Pilenza added nine points, six rebounds and four assists. The Warriors showed sharp passing with 12 assists on 15 baskets, but connected on only 30 percent of their shots (15 for 50).

Patti Kline and Hillary Worley contributed 11 points apiece for the Golden Bears, who were without their high scorer Brianne Homyak, sidelined with an ankle injury. Kline made three 3-pointers.
