ESU-Columbia Union Women’s Basketball
TAKOMA PARK, Md. – Forward Shannon Schwilk matched her career scoring high with 24 points as East Stroudsburg University trounced Columbia Union, 90-67, in women’s basketball Sunday.
Schwilk made 11 of 21 shots from the floor and two of three free throws in equalling her performance against Lock Haven earlier this season. She also pulled down five rebounds and had five assists.
Guard Marie Schlegel added 13 points and eight assists and Stephanie Kuhn 12 points for the Warriors, who led at halftime, 47-29. The 90 points were a team season high, bettering the 85 points achieved in a win over Centenary.
Columbia Union was led by Leslie Crowder with 21 points and Erika Macias with 20.
ESU raised its record to 9-10 and will play host to West Chester Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Koehler Fieldhouse.
