ESU-Millersville Women's Basketball

 

EAST STROUDSBURG - The combination of guard Gema Robles and forward Morgan Banks carried Millersville to a 66-46 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference women's basketball victory over East Stroudsburg University Wednesday night.

Robles scored 14 points, made seven assists and seven steals. Banks tallied a game-high 18 points, had two assists and three steals.

The Marauders made 19 steals overall in raising their season to 10-7. They are 2-1 in the conference. ESU dropped to 5-11 overall and 1-3 in PSAC play.

The Warriors led only once in the game at 6-5, but Banks scored twice from inside to put her team ahead for keeps. The halftime difference was seven points at 30-23 after ESU's Niki Cox hit a pair of driving layups and a free throw in the final 1:25.

It was still a seven-point game at 41-34 with 12:51 remaining before the Marauders broke it open with a 14-5 run.

Tiffany Barnes was ESU's only double-figure scorer with ten points while Heather Wolfe had eight points, eight rebounds and five assists.
