LOCK HAVEN - Forward Tiffany Barnes posted her fourth double-double of the season with ten points and 11 rebounds, but East Stroudsburg University fell to Lock Haven, 57-49, in women's basketball Sunday.
The Warriors' defense could not contain Lock Haven forward Amy Daniels, who took game honors with 26 points on 7 for 10 shooting from the floor and 12 for 14 from the foul line. She also pulled down nine rebounds.
The Bald Eagles' Cyndi Crowl, a sophomore guard from Stroudsburg, scored six points, making 3 for 8 shots, and grabbed five rebounds.
A 11-2 run early in the second carried Lock Haven from a 29-27 deficit to a 38-31 lead. Daniels accounted for nine of the points with Crowl getting the other two. The Eagles made 13 of 17 free throws in the second half while ESU didn't go to the line once.
The loss drops the Warriors' record to 5-8 with the team's next game at Mansfield Wednesday at 6 p.m. Lock Haven is also 5-8.
