EAST STROUDSBURG - Point guard Marie Schlegel fed off 11 assists in only 23 minutes of play as East Stroudsburg University trounced Columbia Union, 74-36, in women's basketball Monday night.

It was the fourth straight wins for the Warriors, who are now 7-6. They will open their Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division season Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Mansfield.

Columbia Union is still winless in 14 games.

Schlegel raised her conference-leading assist total to 96 in 13 games for an average of 7.4 per game. She also pulled down seven rebounds and made three steals.

Shannon Schwilk was the main target of Schlegel's passes and tallied 15 points on seven for 12 shooting from the floor and one for two from the foul line. It was her 17th straight double-figure scoring performance and left her season at a team-leading 15.8 points per game.

Guard Stephanie Kuhn also scored 15 points, her season high, which included a pair of three-pointers. Amanda Buss contributed ten points and Michele Pilenza nine. Pilenza and Maggie McLoughlin with the team's top rebounders with eight apiece.

The score was the same in each half with the Warriors outscoring Columbia Union, 37-18.

Maimuna Jibril led the Pioneers with 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds and Erika Macias had ten points.
