MILLERSVILLE - East Stroudsburg University's Quanette Jester won two events, set a school record and qualified for the nationals in a sensational performance Saturday in the Millersville Metrics.

Jester captured the triple jump at 39-2, breaking her own school mark of 39-1 1/4 set two weeks ago. That moves her up on the list of provisional qualifier who have bettered 38-0 3/4 for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 24-26 at SIU-Edwardsville.

The senior from Oakland, N.J. also won the high jump at 5-6 1/2, also surpassing the NCAA provisional qualifying standard of 5-5 3/4.

Jester and her teammates still have two more weeks left in the regular season with a meet at Kutztown Friday and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championships at Shippensburg May 10-12.

The Warriors' Jenn Grube was runner-up in the javelin with a throw of 126-0. She had hit a season-best of 140-9, also an NCAA qualifier, in the Penn Relays Thursday.

Placing third were Jackie Babbini in the javelin, 119-6, and Doug Springer in the pole vault, 15-0.
