ESU Track and Field/Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG - Jumper Mike Newhard and sprinter Mark Stinson were East Stroudsburg University's two individual winners in the eight-team Blue and Orange Indoor Track and Field Invitational at Bucknell University Saturday.

Newhard captured the high jump with a leap of 6-7 and was second in the 55-meter hurdles in 7.95. Stinson sprinted to victory in the 55 dash in 6.55.

The Warriors had two other second-place finishers in Dan Garibaldi in the 500-meter dash in 1:08.55 and Brad Fees in the high jump, also at 6-7. Placing third were Becky Fitz in the triple jump at 34-5 and Holly Holtzinger in the 3000-meter run in 11:47.07.

Other schools competing were Bucknell, Dickinson, Brockport, Franklin and Marshall, St. Francis, Lebanon Valley and Susquehanna.
