BETHLEHEM - Mark Stinson won the long jump, set a school record in finishing second in the 60-meter dash and was third in the 200 dash in the 10th annual John Covert Indoor Track and Field Classic at Lehigh's Rauch Field House Saturday.

Stinson leaped 22-7 3/4 for the victory in the long jump. He posted a 7.13 time in the 60 to break his own school mark of 7.17 set last season. His time in the 200 was 23.53.

The Warriors had two other champions, Brad Fees in the high jump at 6-8 and Tawny Youtz in the 200-meter dash at 27.37.

ESU's Mike Newhard placed second in the high jump at 6-6 and also set a school record with a time of 8.67 in placing fourth in the 60-meter hurdles. He broke the mark of 8.84 set by Nick Boehmer in 2000. Glenn Kercher was runner-up in the long jump at 21-10.

Also placing third were Jackie Babbini in the 60-meter hurdles, 9.81; Becky Fitz, triple jump, 33-9, and the 4 x 400-meter relay team of Dan Garibaldi (52.8), Matt Bevan (55.0), Jim Dawson (53.3) and Eric Brown (53.3) in 3:36.30.

Lehigh won the men's meet with 109 points with Kutztown second with 80. ESU was sixth with 67. It was the same finish in the women's meet with Lehigh first with 121 followed by Kutztown with 95 with ESU sixth with 48.
