ESU Catcher Erika Lee on All-Regional First Team

EAST STROUDSBURG - Erika Lee, East Stroudsburg University catcher, has been chosen on the NCAA All-Mid Atlantic Region softball first team for the second time. She also was honored two years ago as a freshman.

A total of 14 players, all from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, were selected on the team in a vote of the region's head softball coaches.

Lee is considered one of the region's top defensive players. She made only two errors in 231 chances behind the plate for a .991 fielding average. She also pegged out 16 runners trying to steal in 33 attempts.

The junior from Abington High School was one of the Warriors' top power hitters with a team-leading ten doubles and a homer. She batted .371, drove in 14 runs and scored 18.

Bloomsburg, the PSAC and NCAA Regional champion, had four players honored in pitcher Kerri Cooper, first baseman Liza Pepper and outfielders Lisa Mull and Jessica Shnyder.
