ESU-Harvard Men's Volleyball

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University upset Harvard in a thee game sweep, 30-24, 34-32, 30-23 to win their second Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Hay Division match of the season Saturday afternoon at Koehler Fieldhouse.

The Warriors took revenge in the match after losing to the Crimson in a three-game sweep earlier in the season.

Jon Stellefson led the campaign for the Warriors with a team-high 13 kills and also contributed two service aces. Ty Zurn was the team's only other double-figure hitter with 10 kills and nine digs.

Jarrett Merkel also had a big game for ESU with nine kills for a .727 hitting percentage, and also added seven blocks. Senior outside hitter Dustin Wood came up with big kills at key times for the Warriors, posting six kills and 11 digs in the match.

Setter Chris James put up 39 assists and picked up six digs in the match.

The Warriors, now 2-9 in the Hay Division, 7-15 overall, will host Juniata Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in Koehler Fieldhouse.
