ESU - New Haven Men's Volleyball

WEST HAVEN, Ct. - Senior Tom Shaver made his final collegiate match one of his best as he led East Stroudsburg University to a 30-21, 28-30, 30-20, 30-22 men's volleyball victory over the University of New Haven, Tuesday night.

Shaver hit a phenomenal .789 with 15 kills in 19 attempts and no errors. He also made eight blocks, one solo and seven assists. Mike Messinger added 13 kills with .589 hitting average.

The entire ESU team hit a season-best .781 with 64 kills in 73 swings and only seven errors. The Warriors finished with a 10-10 record.

Other team leaders were Chris James ,44 assists; Brian Harvey 20 digs, Jason Hartzel 12 digs, and Jarrett Merkel, three service aces, eight kills and five blocks.
