ESU-Queens Men's Volleyball

EAST STROUDSBURG - Mike Messinger made 19 kills, four blocks and 14 digs as East Stroudsburg University defeated Queens College, 30-15, 30-23, 30-20, in an Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Hay Division match Saturday.

Messinger had 28 hitting attempts at the net and made only two errors for .607 average. Tom Shaver had the team's best hitting average at .727 with eight kills in 11 attempts and no errors and also was the team leader in blocks with five.

Also contributing to the victory were Ryan Peters with four service aces, Brian Harvey with 11 digs, Ty Zurn with nine digs and Chris James with 35 assists and eight digs.

The Warriors improved their EIVA record to 4-3 and their overall mark to 6-4.
