ESU-Centenary Men's Soccer

Hackettstown, N.J. - East Stroudsburg University scored twice in each half to defeat Centenary College, 4-0, in a men's soccer game Thursday.

The Warriors raised their record to 2-0-1 and will open their home season Saturday at 2 p.m. against Felician College at Eiler-Martin Stadium. It was the season's opener for Centenary.

Jorge Chapoy put ESU ahead after 24 minutes with a shot to the far post after a pass from back Erik Buksa who had brought the ball down the field. Karl Nusshag fed a through-pass to John Sunshine, who tallied the second goal late in the half.

In the second half, Kurt Nusshag slotted a shot just inside the right post after Ahmet Kose had fed the ball back to him. Dom Sciurba finished the scoring as he side-volleyed a shot to the far post with Troy Grubb getting an assist on the play.

Conor Fry posted the shutout although he didn't have make a single save. The Warriors had a 18-0 edge in shots.
