EAST STROUDSBURG - Two seniors, Pat Stanco and Channing Swears scored goals as East Stroudsburg University knocked off nationally-ranked C.W. Post, 2-0, Wednesday.

The Warriors raised their record to 6-2 in their last start before their Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference opener Saturday at California. C.W. Post, ranked 17th in this week's NCAA Division II national poll, is now 5-1.

Stanco scored the first goal with 10:22 left in the first half. He took a short pass from Isaac Fournier ten yards out on the left side and blasted the ball past goalie Jesse Montero.

Swears added an insurance goal midway through the second half, hitting a shot into the right corner from 15 yards away. The play started on an indirect kick which rebounded off the defensive wall back to Swears.

Both Stanco and Swears have four goals this season while Fournier has four assists.

ESU goalie Conor Fry made seven saves in posting his first shutout.
