ESU-C.W.Post Men’s Soccer

 

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Two quick goals in the first five minutes of the second half

carried 18th-ranked C.W. Post to a 2-1 men’s soccer victory over sixth-ranked East Stroudsburg

University Wednesday.

 

It was the first loss of the season for the Warriors, now 6-1-1, and broke the team’s

19-game regular-season winning streak. C.W. Post is unbeaten at 6-0.

Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Pioneers wasted little time in knotting the score when Frank

Savocchi’s passed to a streaking Roger Chambers who connected in the first minute of the

second half.

 

Less than four minutes later, Chambers crossed the ball and Savocchi knocked it in for

the winning goal.

 

ESU had taken a 1-0 lead with 13 minutes remaining in the first half when Ryan Hepford headed in a shot after a cross from Jorge Chapoy. Karl Nusshag

had started the play by dribbling up field and feeding a pass to Chapoy.
