SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. - Johan Cron scored a pair of goals as LIU-Southampton, the nation's third-ranked NCAA Division II soccer team, downed East Stroudsburg University, 2-0, in men's soccer Saturday.
Cron scored on a penalty kick with five minutes remaining in the first half. He then added his second goal with seven minutes gone in the second half as he stole the ball from a defender and beat the goalie one-on-one.
The Seahawks outshot ESU, 10-4. Winning goalie Roger Svensson made two saves while ESU's Conor Fry had six saves.
ESU had its five-game winning streak broken and is now 5-1. Southampton improved to 7-0.
