EAST STROUDSBURG - Karl Nusshag scored the winning goal, his second goal of the game, with 10:31 gone in overtime to give East Stroudsburg University a 2-1 men's soccer victory over the University of the District of Columbia Tuesday.
Nusshag rifled a shot into the far right corner from ten yards out on the left side. Ahmet Kose had started the winning play by dribbling down the right side and centering a pass to Jorge Chapoy, who took a shot which rebounded off the top post back to Nusshag.
The Warriors took the lead with 7:40 gone in second half as Isaac Fournier lofted a throw-in from the left side into the middle where after a scramble, Nusshag headed the ball over goalie William Umanzo's head.
The Firebirds tied the game almost exactly ten minutes later on Mamadou Traore's header following a pass from Vincent Ndussilo.
It was the fifth straight win for Coach Jerry Sheska's, which is now 5-1 and will travel to LIU-Southampton, the nation's third-ranked NCAA Division II team, Saturday. UDC lost its first game after five victories.
