ESU-Kutztown Men’s Soccer

EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University continued its return to contention in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference men’s soccer race by beating Kutztown, 4-0, Tuesday at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

The Warriors, PSAC champions the last four years, won their second straight conference game after two opening losses. They are 9-3 overall.

Eric Kolar put ESU on top midway through the first half, scoring from in front of the nets after a pass from Kurt Nusshag. Six minutes later, Jason Cropper then made it, 2-0, with his seventh goal of the season. Tom Mustac assisted on the play.

The Warriors then broke it open with two goals within five minutes early in the second half. Sean Stewart scored the first with Mike Lotocki getting the assist and John Sunshine had the second after a pass from Ahmet Kose.

Jason Land posted the shutout, his fifth of the season, making three saves over 75 minutes. Phil Merrill finished up.

ESU will travel to Felician Thursday before returning home for a key regional game against unbeaten Dowling, ranked fourth in the nation, Sunday at 1 p.m.
