ESU-Slippery Rock Men's Soccer
SLIPPERY ROCK - Forward Brandon Smith had a goal and an assist as East Stroudsburg University stretched its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference men's soccer winning streak to 16 straight games by beating Slippery Rock, 3-0, Saturday.
The Warriors are 3-0 in the conference and 10-2-1 overall. Wednesday at 3 p.m., they will play host to Lock Haven, the last team to beat them in PSAC play, 1-0, in 1998.
Smith set up the first ESU goal with 11 minutes gone in the game as he crossed the ball in the front of the goal and Tommy Mustac deflected it inside the far post. The Warriors scored later in the first half on Ahmet Kose's one-time shot after a cross from Jorge Chapoy.
Midway through the second half, Smith took a through pass from Eric Kolar and slotted a shot from 18 yards out into the nets.
