ESU 5, Slippery Rock 1

EAST STROUDSBURG - Pat Stanco recorded two goals and an assist as East Stroudsburg ran its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference record to 3-0 with a 5-1 victory over Slippery Rock, Saturday.

Stanco recorded his team-leading eighth goal, redirecting a Tony Wilson shot in the first half to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead. Ahmet Kose and Ryan Hepford added first half goals as well, and ESU (9-2, 3-0) went to the half with a 3-0 lead.

Slippery Rock (4-6, 0-3) managed only five shots on the day, scoring with just over five minutes left in the contest. Stanco added his ninth goal of the season in the second half, and Jorge Chapoy also scored for the Warriors.

ESU will visit arch-rival Lock Haven Wednesday.
