ESU-Kutztown Men's Soccer
KUTZTOWN - Forward Jorge Chapoy scored a goal in the second overtime period to give East Stroudsburg University a 1-0 victory over Kutztown in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference men's soccer game Tuesday.
Chris Pinto set up the goal by heading a ball over the defensive backs. Chapoy ran onto the ball and volleyed a shot over the goalie Mike Berger's head into the upper right corner.
Chapoy raised his conference-leading scoring total to 11 goals. It was Pinto's third assist.
The win extended the Warriors' PSAC winning streak to 15 straight over three seasons. They are 2-0 in the conference this year and 9-2-1 overall. They were ranked 17th in this week's NCAA Division II national poll.
Kutztown, which has lost to ESU by one goal the last three seasons, dropped its first PSAC game and is now 3-1 in the conference and 7-4-1 overall.
