ESU-Shippensburg Men's Soccer

SHIPPENSBURG - Pat Stanco converted a penalty kick with 5:13 gone in an overtime period to give East Stroudsburg University a 1-0 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference men's soccer victory over Shippensburg Friday.

It was the seventh straight win for the Warriors, who are now 13-2. They are in first place in the conference with a 5-0 record. The Red Raiders fell to 8-6 overall and 3-4 in PSAC play.

The penalty was called on a Shippensburg defender who stuck out his hand to stop an ESU shot which might have gone into the goal. Stanco scored his 16th goal of the season and extended his scoring streak to seven straight games.

Goalie Jason Land made three saves to post the shutout.
