ESU's Juwan Justice Makes All-PSAC First Team;

Kelly Hutchison Selected on Second Team

Lock Haven - East Stroudsburg University basketball forward Juwan Justice has been selected on All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division first team announced Tuesday.

Justice, a 6-4 junior forward, had been an All-PSAC second team choice last season and was chosen as the PSAC Rookie of the Year at a freshman.

ESU's Kelly Hutchison, a 5-11 senior forward, was a second team choice on the All-PSAC Eastern Division women's basketball team. It is the first time she has been honored by the conference.

A total of 12 players made the All-Conference Eastern Division teams, six on the first team and six on the second. The balloting was done by the head coaches of the seven division schools.

Justice led the Warriors in scoring with 429 points for an average of 16.5 points and in rebounding with 155 or 6.0 per game. He finished the season strongly with three straight 20-point performances and now has 979 career points.

The Roman Catholic High School graduate from Philadelphia had some of his biggest games against conference opponents. He scored 34 points, including a school-record ten 3-pointers, in a win over Cheyney and 30 points in a victory over Mansfield. He averaged 19.1 points per game in conference competition.

Justice scored in double figures in 21 of the 26 games with three double-doubles. His rebounding high was 13 in a loss to Shippensburg.

Hutchison was the ESU women's leader in both scoring with 330 points for an average of 12.7 per game and in rebounds with 184 for 7.1 per contest. Her highs were 24 points in a win over Mansfield and 12 rebounds in a loss to Millersville.

The Exeter High School product from Reading hit in double figures in 20 games with four double-doubles. She was a four-year letter-winner and started her last two seasons.

Three West Chester players, Joe Meade, Tyariq Corbin and Ramzee Stanton, made the Eastern Division first team along with Justice, Anthony Frazier of Cheyney and Shawn Munford of Bloomsburg.

Meade was named the PSAC East Player of the Year while Frazier was chosen as the Rookie of the Year. ESU graduate Charlie Chronister of division champion Bloomsburg was named the Coach of the Year.

On the women's side, Megan LaBuda of Bloomsburg was the Player of the Year selection and Kiesha Mack of West Chester the Rookie of the Year. Monica Starrett of co-division champion Bloomsburg was honored as the Coach of the Year.

LaBuda was joined on the All-PSAC first team by Safiyyah Bashir and Sara Burcin of Millersville, Brianne Homyak of Kutztown and Kiera Manlove and Hallie Roulin of West Chester.
