ESU-Columbia Union Men's Basketball

EAST STROUDSBURG - Juwan Justice scored 17 of his game-high 19 points in the second half to lead East Stroudsburg University to a 66-58 men's basketball victory over Columbia Union Saturday night.

The Warriors (9-9) trailed early in the second half, 28-25, but then Justice led a 22-6 scoring burst to put ESU in front, 47-34, with 10:12 remaining. He scored 12 of the points including a 3-pointers and a pair of fast break lay ups after passes from Shahad Abdur Rahkman.

Columbia Union made it interesting in the final minutes, closing within three points at 60-57 with 1:33 left on two straight 3-pointers by Michael Gordon and Antonio Moore. ESU wrapped it up from the free throw line, however, as Wayne Bishop sank four straight free throws and Gabe Crowley and Justice made one apiece in the final 50 seconds.

Rahkman came close to a triple double with ten points, a game-high eight rebounds and a career-high seven assists. Crowley tallied 14 points and Wayne Bishop had nine points and three assists.

Eric Enright led the Pioneers (5-13) with 16 points while Abokan Bopke added 13.
