MANSFIELD - The East Stroudsburg University men's basketball team got plenty of scoring Wednesday night, matching a season high with 75 points, but could not hold Mansfield on the other end of the court and suffered an 89-75 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference loss.

New starting shooting guard John Krimmel hit his season high for the Warriors with 20 points, making 8 of 15 shots from the floor, including two 3-pointers. Center Jon Kelley turned in his third straight double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Three other ESU players were in double figures with Wayne Bishop contributing his season high 17 points, Juwan Justice getting 11 and Rob Georges 10.

Justice, the team's leading scorer at 19.2 points per game entering the contest, suffered a shoulder injury after being fouled going up for a dunk in the final minute. He left the game and his playing status for Saturday's contest at Bloomsburg is uncertain.

Mansfield was led by Damar Lopez with 27 points on a 10-for-14 shooting night with four 3-pointers while Brett Longpre added 21 points.

The Mounties streaked to a 21-6 lead in the first ten minutes, had a 38-27 edge at halftime and never gave up its double-digit lead in the second half.

The loss dropped ESU to 3-11 overall and 0-2 in the conference. Mansfield is now 6-9 overall and 2-1 in PSAC play.
