ESU-Scranton Women's Lacrosse
EAST STROUDSBURG - Behind at halftime, 6-4, East Stroudsburg University roared back in the second half to defeat Scranton, 12-10, in women's lacrosse Wednesday on Whitenight Field.
The Warriors scored the first four goals of the half, two by Michelle Cottiers to take an 8-6 lead. Scranton tied the game, but ESU tallied three straight goals by Shelly Kuhlberg, Antonia Giannopoulos and Lynne Nester to go ahead for keeps.
Cottiers finished with five goals while Giannopoulos had three and Kim Niles two. Niles also made three assists. Liz Baumbach was the Royals' top scorer with seven goals.
