ESU Cross Country in Tidewater Classic

SALISBURY, Md. - Christel Hibbard and Darryl Brown both finished third to lead East Stroudsburg University in the Tidewater Fall Cross Country Classic at Salisbury State Saturday.

Hibbard was timed in 19:07 for the 5,000-meter distance and led ESU to third place of the seven women's teams. Rowan, led by individual winner Terry Hastings (18:47), won the team title with 35 points with Salisbury second with 58 and ESU next with 68.

In the 8,000 men's race, Brown posted a time of 26:49 as the Warriors placed second of the eight men's team. Rowan also won the men's division with 35 points just edging ESU, which had 38. The Profs' John Barton was the individual winner with a time of 26:03
