ESU Cross Country

CENTER VALLEY – East Stroudsburg University finished eighth of 35 teams in the men’s race and ninth of 27 teams in the women’s race at the DeSales Cross Country Invitational Saturday.
The ESU men had three top-50 finishers in the field of 232 runners in Mark Donio, 34th in 27:40.11; Mike Loesner, 41st in 27:52.20, and Rob Lado, 48th in 28:04.77.
Nick Rado of the College of New Jersey won the 8,000-meter race in 26:23.93 and led the Lions to the men’s team title with 27 points. ESU scored 248 points.
In the women’s race, the Warriors were led by Christel Hibbard, 26th in a 5,000-meter time of 20:13; Nova Tindall, 43rd in 20:46, and Jane Grendel, 51st in 20:58. The team scored 268 points.
Moravian was the women’s team champion with 45 points. The Greyhounds’ Heidi Wolfsberger was the individual winner in the field of 193 runners with a time of 18:09.
