TAKOMA PARK, Md. - East Stroudsburg University swept a season-opening basketball doubleheader over Columbia Union Saturday, winning the women's game, 61-51, and the men's contest, 73-53.

Kelly Hutchison led the ESU women's team with 17 points while Michele Pilenza added 14.

Wayne Bishop was the top scorer for the ESU men with 14 points followed by R.C. Kehoe and Juwan Justice with 11 points apiece and Gabe Crowley with ten.
