ESU-Felician Baseball

UPPER MONTCLAIR, N.J. – Leadoff hitter Tadgh LaBar belted a homer and triple to lead East Stroudsburg University to a 12-5 baseball victory over Felician College Thursday night at Yogi Berra Stadium.

LaBar led off the game with his triple to trigger a five-run first-inning rally. Ryan Hatfield later followed with another triple to drive in two runs.

The Warriors then poured six runs across the plate in the fifth inning with LaBar again starting it off with a solo homer.

Hatfield went 2 for 3 and Brett Reynolds 2 for 4 for the Warriors, who lifted their record to 18-19. Anthony Piazza drove in a pair of runs with a sacrifice fly and a single.

George LoPresto went the first five innings, allowing two runs, to gain his third victory against one defeat. Craig Whitten pitched three innings and Jeff Wagner one in relief.
