HOWTO: Access the I: drive or U: from off campus

1. Open an Internet Explorer browser. First, Click on Tools, and then Internet Options, and then click on the Advance tab. About half way down in the list check the box that says Enable folder view for FTP sites. This may already be checked. Then click OK
2. In the URL address area type ftp://cleo.esu.edu for I: drive accessand then hit Enter. (For U: drive access use the word shemp instead of cleo)

3. Now click File (from the menu) and choose "Login As". (this step might be unnecessary, as the login screen might be presented.)
4. A login screen should display. You will want the “User name:” field to contain the text STUDENT\<username>, where the <username> is your computer login on campus. For example blwtest as shown in the picture.

4. Enter your password and click the Log On button.
5. You should now be logged into the I: drive at ESU (see image below) and have the same functionality that you would have if present on campus. (Note: if you used shemp instead of cleo, then you are now logged into your U: drive)
