Community Outreach Programs

Community Outreach program is designed to offer programs for adults and children in the community. East Stroudsburg faculty, staff and students teach dance, swimming, CPR, First Aid, Life guarding and other children's programs.

Programs Offered:

Lifeguard Re-certification - This course is designed for students who already have a complete certification in Lifeguard/ First AID training and CPR/AED and is expired. Expired certifications are NOT accepted. Upon successful completion of water test and written exam, students will receive a 2 year Certification in Lifeguarding, First AID, and CPR/AED. Must be at least 15 years old and pass certain swimming requirements (see application)

Youth Track and Field Program (Summer/Fall) - This program is designed for children (ages 6 - 12) to be exposed to and compete in multiple Track and Field events. Events include but not limited to: sprinting, distance running, baby hurdles, long jump, high jump, shot put, javelin (Turbo Jav). Children only need sneakers and water! Community Dance Programs (Fall/Spring) - Programs offered to Children creative dance, hip-hop/jazz, and lyrical contemporary dance.

Learn to Swim (Fall/Spring) - This program is designed for children to develop in and around the water. Classes range from Beginner through Level 6 in the "Learn to Swim" program for ages 4 and older. Program offered in Fall and Spring Semesters.

Aqua Tots (Spring Only) - This program is designed for children to develop a comfort level in and around the water, as well as a readiness for learning to swim.

ESU for Kids (Year Round Programs) - This is a program for children offering a wide variety of courses designed for children ages 6-16. Experienced, professional instructors are eager to teach and challenge each student. ESU for Kids delivers affordable learning and memorable experience.
