Chemical Biotechnology (B.S.) Degree

This new program has been developed to address the demand for trained scientists in the field of Biotechnology. Chemical Biotechnology can be described as the use of chemistry to solve biological problems and biology to solve chemical problems. The Chemical Biotechnology program provides a sound foundation in chemistry, biology, physics and mathematics and upper level electives concentrating on the chemical nature of biological systems. Students obtaining a degree in Chemical Biotechnology will be prepared to enter professional programs (including medical school), seek graduate degrees in the chemical and biological sciences or enter the work force in a highly demanding and exciting emerging field.
